I came across a new site called mginger that I liked instantly. The business model of this site is based on mobile advertising. The subscriber specifies his/her interests and accordingly a fixed number of ads are sent to the subscriber’s mobile. The mobile subscriber is paid for each ad that is delivered. The model also provides the referral option, whereby a percent of the earnings of the people you refer also get added to your account.
This seems like a workable idea in the current situation. The mobile subscribers are already being bombarded by unsolicited ad messages throughout the day. It would help to make a little money in the process. The site is currently in beta. Check it out.

I do not know whether it is safe or not. But the very fact that these guys have been featured in various newspapers provides some credibility to this service.
Still, I would recommend personal discretion to join this service.

Each site has its own personal privacy policy. Very similar though.
And action can be taken against them if they break their own customer policy.
hmmm…. well i have had a bad experience with one such company. It was called “getpaid4sms”. the terms and conditions were the same….. u get paid for receiving some msg’s on ur cell…. but u need to pay them a minimum of 500 bucks initially. After a month, u get the amount u had invested back. thereafter, for the next 36 months u get 1000 bucks/month.
But the was a crrok and after some months it just vanished…. later i read in the papers that the founder of the scheme was caught with lakhs of rupees on him and a high end car!!!!
Anyways, i feel it is a gud method of direct marketing. If handled properly, cud turn out to be a huge success. coz, the cost of advertising would comparitively be very low and the advertiser can directly target the intended audience.
