Here are some of my favorite quotes by Steve Jobs, the famous Apple CEO:

  • I want to put a ding in the universe.
  • Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.
  • Pretty much, Apple and Dell are the only ones in this industry making money. They make it by being Wal-Mart. We make it by innovation.
  • Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations.
  • To turn really interesting ideas and fledgling technologies into a company that can continue to innovate for years, it requires a lot of disciplines.

And here is the best one of them all - “Stay hungry, Stay Foolish”. This is the quote from Steve Jobs’ commencement speech at Stanford.

I love the lyrics of the famous Cat Stevens song, Father and Son. These lines beautifully capture the theme:

“I know that it’s not easy
To be calm when you’ve found something going on
But take your time ….. Think a lot
Why, Think of everything you got
Coz you will still be here tomorrow
But your dreams may not”
